South of Carlisle

Follow M6 north bound to Carlisle. Exit M6 at Junction 44. Take the A7 to Longtown. (third left off the roundabout at Junction 44).

When in Longtown take the second right turn into Swan Street. If you pass the traffic lights you have gone too far.

From Swan Street in Longtown

Travel down Swan Street. (Ignore right hand junction to Brampton). Continue all the way through the built up area, passed the National Speed Limit Sign. Take the first right beyond the speed limit zone - signed for Solport. Follow this road for 5 1/2 miles and you will see the sign for New Pallyards.

North of Carlisle

Follow A74 south bound to Gretna. From Gretna take A7 to Longtown.

Go over the river Esk and take second left into Swan Street. (Just after the traffic lights).

From Swan Street in Longtown

Travel down Swan Street. (Ignore right hand junction to Brampton). Continue all the way through the built up area, passed the National Speed Limit Sign. Take the first right beyond the speed limit zone - signed for Solport. Follow this road for 5 1/2 miles and you will see the sign for New Pallyards.

From the East (Brampton) or From Hethersgill Village

Follow the A69 to Brampton. In Brampton take the A6071 heading towards Longtown. After approximately 2 miles turn right signposted Hethersgill. Carry on this road until you reach Hethersgill Village. Go straight over cross roads. Carry on until you reach a folk in the road. Turn left at this folk (signposted Roadhead & Bewcastle). Carry on down the hill, you will cross a river then go up a hill where you will arrive at a cross roads with a school on the left. Turn left at the cross roads. New Pallyards is up the first lane on the left.
